About ROOD
ROOD embodies a conceptual and production-led sentiment of collective creation. Inspired by art groups from the pre-digital age, ROOD aims to cultivate a similar communal experience of development, exploration, and production. Under an abstract roof, creatives from different fields work towards a broad vision of images, concepts, and artistic spirits.
We curate and produce immersive multidisciplinary endeavours. These incorporate visual arts, music, and performance in the shape of events, workshops, exhibitions, and media projects.

Our Team:
Today, the team are creative industry professionals who are growing in their own respective fields, bringing in varying expertise and artistic knowledge to ROOD - from photography to design.
The four members collectively hold the roles of co-founder and co-creative director, collaborating and taking charge of various projects throughout the year’s slate.
Shang Salah:
Shang Salah is a London-based Kurdish-Iraqi visual artist, researcher, filmmaker, and curator working across photography, video, and collage. Her practice is centred around questions of memory, space, temporality, and youth. With a passion for archives, SWANA stories and the wider urban youth culture scenes, her work merges between varying visual practices and research rigour.
Diego Castillo:
Diego Castillo (Deiggo Studio) is a South London-based graphic designer from Madrid whose creative practice is founded on being experimental in approach, bold in visual choices, and practical in the understanding of how design can be used to achieve and communicate meaningful stories. Constantly pushing personal boundaries and creating visually effective pieces that explore concepts related to personal taste, media literacy and consumption.
Danaia Konstantinova:
Danaia Konstantinova is a London-based visual artist, photographer, and curator whose practice centres on traditional analogue photography and craft-based photographic processes. Working in an era of digital saturation, Danaia embraces handmade analogue processes as a way of embedding human memory and presence within the image, using the medium's imperfections and visual rawness to forge a tangible connection between material process and lived experience.
Clyde Cepeda:
Clyde Cepeda is a Filipino director and writer based in England, whose work delves deeply into themes of memory, the human psyche, and more. His diverse portfolio spans both fiction and non-fiction, as well as music videos, fashion films, and other creative media. Constantly honing his craft, Clyde is committed to elevating the quality of his work through collaboration with fellow creatives and others.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts and is a co-creator of the art collective ROOD, where he contributes to the group's movement, event organization, and promotional efforts.
