What is ROOD?
Midway between a creative community and a production studio, ROOD embodies a conceptual and production-led sentiment of collective creation. We particularly focus on aiding the production of emerging creatives from different disciplines, providing a team and space for the work.
Inspired by historical art groups, pre-the digital age, ROOD aims to cultivate a similar communal experience of development, creative exploration, and production. Where under an abstract roof, creatives from different fields work towards a broad vision of images, concepts, and artistic spirits.
We aim to act as a space of engagement and support, where along with the artist we conceptualise, make, and distribute the work.
ROOD was built by five university friends who wanted to depart from the solitary standards of their coursework and instead develop a communal experience of artistic exploration and making.
Now all are graduates and professionals in their respective industries, bringing varying expertise and artistic knowledge to ROOD- from graphic design to television production.
Productions
Our productions include editorials, music videos, print, and film. As a collective we are active from the birth of the idea to its distribution, acting as producers and at times as directors and other crew members.
We are always seeking to develop more audiovisual content and aid others in the making of their projects. If you require a production company, or crew, or want to collaborate with us on your new exciting idea, get in touch!
